How to Air Fry With a Convection Toaster Oven

toasterovenlove.com

If you already own a convection toaster oven, we’ve got good news. You can air fry with it, and in this story, we’ll show you how!

Increase Airflow Place a rack inside of a rimmed pan to help the heated air circulate around the food during cooking. Or use an air fryer basket.

Arrange Food In a Single Layer If the pan is overcrowded and the pieces are piled on top of each other, the food will steam instead of crisping.

Take The Time To Preheat Fully preheat your convection toaster oven (at least 5 minutes) before adding the food to ensure faster and more even cooking.

Don’t Forget To Flip Flip or toss the food about halfway through the cooking time. This will help to make sure the pieces crisp up on all sides.

Try Turning Up The Heat For some recipes we found increasing the temperature by 15 to 25 degrees helped to produce results closer to that of a basket-style air fryer.

Expect Longer Cooking  To achieve similar results using a convection toaster oven, most air fryer recipes need to be cooked a bit more.
